The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has announced a new initiative to promote environmental conservation by offering property tax discounts for buildings that implement eco-friendly practices. The Taxation and Tax Collection Department aims to encourage citizens to adopt an environmentally friendly lifestyle. Discounts will be provided for effective waste management, sewage treatment, and the implementation of the 'Zero Waste' concept. The tax rebates include 5% for operational on-site composting systems, 8% for both composting and sewage treatment plants, and up to 10% for buildings that implement Zero Waste along with an operational sewage treatment plant.
