Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta addressed concerns about LPG shortages on Saturday, stating that there is no need for panic among residents. She emphasized that the administration is ensuring a steady supply of both domestic and commercial LPG. On April 3, 1,26,379 LPG cylinders were delivered, surpassing the 1,11,504 bookings made, which indicates that supply is currently exceeding demand. The average delivery time for domestic LPG cylinders has been reduced to four days, enhancing service reliability for consumers. To combat illegal activities, the Delhi Police conducted raids at 22 locations, leading to the discovery of six illegally stored cylinders. A dedicated control room has been established to monitor complaints regarding black marketing and hoarding, with strict actions promised against violators.
