In a shocking incident in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, Chaturbhuj Patel (alias Deepak) was arrested for the double murder of his live-in partner, Nilu, and her three-year-old son. The police found Nilu's mutilated body near Baraitha village, but the case remained unsolved until a complaint from Patel's estranged wife, Hemlata, provided crucial leads. Hemlata informed the police that Patel had recently moved Nilu and her son from Gurugram to Jhansi. During interrogation, Patel confessed to killing Nilu with an axe after a heated argument and subsequently murdering her son to silence him. He attempted to hide the bodies, mutilating Nilu's face and burning the child's remains. The police arrested Patel after he opened fire on them during a patrol, sustaining a gunshot wound before capture. He is now in custody as legal proceedings continue.
