On Thursday, the Uttar Pradesh government executed a reshuffle of the Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre, transferring 12 regular recruit (RR) officers from the 2019 and 2020 batches. This move aims to bolster field-level policing and improve administrative supervision across various district police units and commissionerates. Notable transfers include Sagar Jain, who has been elevated to the rank of superintendent of police (SP) and moved from additional superintendent of police in rural Saharanpur to deputy commissioner of police in the Prayagraj commissionerate. Other significant changes involve Twinkle Jain, who has been appointed as additional deputy commissioner of police in Lucknow, and various officers being reassigned to different capacities in districts like Meerut, Ghaziabad, and Varanasi.
