The Anti-Narcotics Squad of the Delhi Police has successfully dismantled a gang involved in the theft of milk and curd in Uttam Nagar, New Delhi. The operation led to the arrest of two suspects, Mohit (alias Patha) and Ayush Maan Pandey (alias Pandit), who were caught following a tip-off while meeting an associate in Shiv Vihar, Vikas Nagar. Upon apprehension, police discovered 14 empty milk crates in their vehicle, which was also found to be stolen. The gang reportedly targeted milk delivery trucks, stealing crates left outside shops and homes. Mohit, a resident of Ranhola, has a significant criminal background with over 38 theft cases to his name and had recently been released from jail in February 2026. The stolen milk and curd were allegedly sold at supply points in Dabri and Bindapur. This incident highlights ongoing issues with theft in the area, as the Delhi Police Crime Branch recently uncovered a separate racket involving the illegal sale of government hospital medicines meant for free distribution, leading to the arrest of five individuals.
