In a significant security operation, police in New Delhi arrested two men for impersonating a judicial officer. The suspects, Surya Agarwal (31) and Nikhil Yadav (21), both from Jhansi district, Uttar Pradesh, were apprehended after their suspicious SUV was intercepted. The vehicle lacked a registration number and had tinted windows, which raised police suspicions. Upon searching the vehicle, authorities discovered a pistol and nine live cartridges. Agarwal falsely claimed to be a civil judge and presented a forged judicial identity card along with a fabricated permission letter to carry the weapon in Delhi. However, police confirmed these documents were altered and that Agarwal's valid arms license was only applicable in Uttar Pradesh. A case has been filed at the Parliament Street police station, and investigations into the source of the forged documents are ongoing.
