In a tragic incident in Kasganj district, Uttar Pradesh, India, a brother and sister, Sanju (22) and Aarti (18), lost their lives when a tree fell on their motorcycle due to high-speed winds during a storm late Friday night. The accident occurred near the Navada area while they were returning to their village, Gajora, after collecting harvested wheat from their farm in Bahota village. Along with them on the motorcycle were Shiv Sagar (24) and Sandhya (12), who sustained injuries in the incident. Family members rushed the injured to a hospital. The police confirmed the fatalities and sent the bodies for post-mortem. Tragically, Aarti was due to marry on April 18, and Sanju's wedding was also scheduled for a later date. The storm resulted in significant weather changes across the Braj region, causing damage to crops and prompting the district magistrate of Mathura, Chandra Prakash Singh, to urge farmers to report their losses through the Prime Minister Fasal Bima scheme. More than 10,000 applications have already been received for assistance.
