Edappadi K Palaniswami (AIADMK general secretary) accused the DMK-Congress alliance of exhibiting double standards by presenting a united front in Tamil Nadu while taking a fragmented approach in Puducherry. During campaign meetings in Puducherry, he claimed that Chief Minister M K Stalin had 'looted Tamil Nadu' and was attempting to impose similar governance in Puducherry. Palaniswami addressed allegations regarding the denial of land for a memorial for late Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, explaining that a high court case was pending, which legally prevented the allotment. He emphasized that the AIADMK had previously allocated land at Guindy and questioned the fairness of the accusations against them. Furthermore, he criticized the DMDK party for its shifting alliances and claimed that the DMK had betrayed various issues affecting the state, including the Katchatheevu and Cauvery water disputes, as well as the situation of Sri Lankan Tamils. He also pointed out the reliance of the DMK on former AIADMK members who had defected to hold government positions.
