Out of 27.1 million eligible voters, approximately 21 million cast their votes across 30,495 polling stations. The highest turnout was in Kozhikode district at 81.32%, while the lowest was in Pathanamthitta at 70.76%. The election saw a competitive battle among the incumbent CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF), the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF), and the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who is seeking a third term, and opposition leader VD Satheesan both participated in the voting process early in the day.
