In a comprehensive anti-narcotics operation, Mahendragarh police in Haryana, India, arrested 11 individuals, including a Nigerian national, believed to be part of a drug trafficking network linked to the National Capital Region. The crackdown began on March 13, when officers apprehended a local peddler with 19 grams of heroin and ₹13,900 in suspected drug proceeds. Following this, a series of arrests led to the Nigerian suspect on March 31, from whom police recovered ₹18,500 in proceeds and ₹32,300 in counterfeit currency. Subsequent operations resulted in the seizure of 63 grams of ganja and 220 intoxicant capsules. Authorities are investigating the suspects' backgrounds, noting that many have prior offenses under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The police are also conducting cross-border operations, including arrests in Rajasthan, to dismantle the broader network.
