KaShawn Nicola Roper, 50, was apprehended in High Springs, Florida, on Wednesday morning after being placed on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list just a day earlier. Roper is charged with second-degree murder for her alleged involvement in the shooting death of 23-year-old Jazmyn Henrion in Kansas City on August 23, 2020. Following the shooting, which also injured another woman, Roper was charged with two counts of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. A federal arrest warrant had been issued for her in July 2021 due to her flight to avoid prosecution. The FBI, Kansas City Police Department, and Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office announced her addition to the list, offering a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to her arrest.
