In a concerning incident in Vasant Enclave, Delhi, a brigadier and his son were assaulted on the night of April 11 after the brigadier confronted a group drinking alcohol outside his home. Following the assault, Delhi Police arrested a total of six individuals involved in the case. The first two arrests were made on Tuesday, identifying Satender Siwach, director of an aviation firm, and Sanjay Sharma, a dhaba owner. They were released on bail but were required to cooperate with the investigation. Subsequently, police apprehended four additional suspects—Surjit Singh (36), Sunil Sharma (53), Ashish (32), and Satender (35)—who had been evading authorities. The police utilized technical analysis to locate the suspects, who were found in various locations across Delhi. The accused have been charged under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including voluntarily causing hurt and rioting. The vehicle used in the incident, a white Hyundai Aura, has also been recovered.
