On Thursday, a 34-year-old truck driver, Arun Kumar, tragically lost his life when his truck collided with another stationary truck on the Delhi-Jaipur expressway near Binola, Bilaspur, India. The incident occurred between 2:30 am and 3 am as Kumar was en route to Khushkhera, Rajasthan after loading goods in Delhi. The parked truck was left on the carriageway without any warning markers after its driver allegedly failed to notify authorities of its breakdown. Kumar was trapped in the mangled cabin for nearly three hours before rescuers could retrieve his body. An FIR has been lodged against the driver of the stationary truck for causing death by negligence and rash driving, as he fled the scene post-accident. Traffic was significantly affected until the vehicles were cleared by 6 am.
