The Left Democratic Front (LDF), Kerala's ruling coalition, has unveiled its Assembly election manifesto, highlighting a commitment to welfare and development. The manifesto outlines initiatives to support approximately five lakh of the poorest families, with special attention to vulnerable groups like Scheduled Castes and fisherfolk. For the youth, the LDF aims to enhance employment opportunities through campus placements and expanded skill training programs. Women's employment is also prioritized, with a target of achieving 50% workforce participation by improving support systems. On the development front, the manifesto includes plans to attract investments worth ₹2 lakh crore over the next five years, alongside the establishment of new industrial corridors and innovation hubs. The Kerala Assembly elections are scheduled for April 9, with 140 seats at stake.
