In a notable achievement, two teams from Full Sail University, located in Winter Park, Florida, have been selected as finalists in the 2026 Coca-Cola Refreshing Films program. This marks the first instance in nearly a decade where two finalists hail from the same school. The graduate team, led by Angel Quinapallo and Kylie Shouse, created a film titled 'Behind the Screens,' while the student team, featuring Brandon Bishop and Christina Almuina, produced 'What Makes Them Magic.' The Coca-Cola Refreshing Films program, now in its 28th year, aims to provide aspiring filmmakers with opportunities to create content for a global brand and gain exposure in the industry. Voting for the Cinemark Fan Favorite will open on April 20, 2026, allowing fans to support their favorite films, with the winner receiving distribution in Cinemark theaters nationwide. The Grand Prize winner will also be determined by a panel of industry professionals and will receive nationwide theatrical distribution through partners such as AMC Theatres and B&B Theatres. This initiative not only showcases the talent of Full Sail students but also strengthens their connections within the film industry.
