The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) reported to the National Green Tribunal (NGT) that it will fill 52 vacancies in the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) within the next three months. Currently, 292 of the 344 sanctioned posts in the DPCC are filled, with the tribunal monitoring the situation since October 2023 when nearly two-thirds of the posts were vacant. The CPCB's April 9 status report indicated that recruitment for 85 Group-B and C posts is being handled by the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB), while direct recruitment for 28 senior environmental engineer and environmental engineer positions is also in progress.
