In a heartbreaking incident, three siblings from Diva town in Thane district, Maharashtra, died in a road accident on Monday morning. Sneha Mohape, Manasi, and Prathamesh were traveling to visit their uncle in Panhe village when their van collided head-on with a cement mixer truck on a newly constructed bridge over the Ulhas River. The impact of the crash was devastating, resulting in the deaths of 11 people, including the Mohape siblings. Their mother, Anjana Mohape, has been raising her children alone since her husband's death seven years ago, and this tragedy has obliterated her support system. Family members described the children as bright and full of dreams, and their loss has left the family in despair. Local residents have expressed outrage over the frequent violations of speed limits and safety norms by heavy vehicles on the Kalyan-Ahilyanagar National Highway, calling for urgent action to prevent such tragedies in the future. The last rites for the siblings will be held in their native village.
