Delhi Police apprehended Vikas Dahiya, a 42-year-old resident of Sonipat district in Haryana, in connection with the murder of boxer Vikas Dagar, also known as Bhinda. The incident occurred on July 30, 2025, in Surakhpur village, Delhi, and was the result of a long-standing rivalry between the two men. Dahiya, identified as the main shooter, executed a pre-planned attack after tracking Dagar's movements. Following the murder, Dahiya was declared a proclaimed offender in October 2025. He had previously been convicted in a 2010 murder case in Haryana and was out on bail at the time of Dagar's killing. After evading capture for several months, he was located and arrested in Chandigarh. During interrogation, Dahiya admitted to his role in the murder and revealed he had been frequently changing locations to avoid arrest. Police are still searching for two of his associates who assisted in the crime.
