The couple hosted social gatherings, blending colonial and local cultures, with Varyam Kaur encouraging her husband to embrace English and social norms. Additionally, the house features a private gurdwara, merging spiritual and architectural elements. Singh's influence extended to urban governance as a chairman of the New Delhi Municipal Council, but his home tells a more intimate story of ambition and cultural adaptation.
