The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) is set to release the 2nd PUC (Class 12) results on April 9, 2026. Initially scheduled for April 7, the announcement was postponed due to the model code of conduct in effect during bye-elections in Karnataka. This year, 7,10,363 students registered for the exams conducted from February 28 to March 17, 2026, across 1,217 examination centres. The registration included 6,46,801 first-time candidates, 50,540 repeaters, and 13,022 private candidates, with students distributed among Science, Commerce, and Arts streams. Notably, the KSEAB has reduced the minimum pass percentage from 35% to 30%, requiring students to score at least 30 marks in each subject and an overall aggregate of 33% (198 out of 600) to pass. Last year's results were announced on April 8, 2025, with a pass percentage of 73.45%. In 2024, the overall pass percentage was 81.15%, with girls outperforming boys. The KSEAB recently faced scrutiny due to a security issue involving a fake PUC 2 question paper circulated online.
