Manoj Tiwary, a former cricketer, has expressed concerns about the Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) batting strategy as they prepare for their IPL 2026 match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Tiwary suggests a significant reshuffle, including moving Sunil Narine to the opening position and incorporating Tim Seifert into the lineup. KKR has struggled to perform, managing to score over 200 runs in only one of their three matches this season. They were bowled out for 161 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad, scored 25-2 against Punjab Kings, and managed 181-4 against Lucknow Super Giants. Tiwary believes that Narine, who previously scored 488 runs when KKR won the championship, could provide a much-needed boost at the top of the order. He also highlighted Angkrish Raghuvanshi's performance, noting that while he is KKR's leading run-scorer with 155 runs at a strike rate of 158.16, he tends to get stuck at a strike rate of 130-140 during crucial phases of the game. Tiwary's insights underscore the need for KKR to adopt a more aggressive batting strategy to compete effectively in the tournament.
