The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have secured Sri Lankan fast bowler Dilshan Madushanka as a replacement for injured England player Brydon Carse for the remainder of the IPL 2026 season. Madushanka, who has represented Sri Lanka in 1 Test, 28 One Day Internationals (ODIs), and 19 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), will join the team for ₹75 lakh (approximately $90,000 USD). Carse, who was signed during the IPL 2025 mega auction, suffered an injury prior to the season opener against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on March 28 and has been ruled out for the entire tournament. Madushanka, a left-arm medium pacer, previously played for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL and has taken 70 wickets in international cricket.
