Tiwary criticized captain Ajinkya Rahane for his handling of the team amidst an injury crisis and poor performances, particularly highlighting Rahane's blunt comments regarding star player Cameron Green's bowling. Tiwary stated, 'The team atmosphere is not right, it's visible on the ground in the form of performance.' He urged KKR to consider benching Green, who has struggled with form and pressure since joining the team for ₹24 crore (approximately $2.9 million USD). Tiwary believes that KKR should prioritize emerging Indian talent over established players who are not performing, suggesting that players like Rinku Singh or Ramandeep Singh deserve a chance to prove themselves in the lineup.
