Elon Musk has instructed banks and advisers working on SpaceX's planned initial public offering (IPO) to purchase subscriptions to his AI chatbot, Grok. This requirement comes as SpaceX aims for a valuation exceeding $2 trillion, setting the stage for a potential record-breaking IPO. According to reports, banks such as Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, and Citigroup are actively managing the deal and have agreed to invest tens of millions of dollars annually on Grok subscriptions, integrating the technology into their IT systems. Recently, SpaceX submitted confidential IPO paperwork to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, targeting a market launch later this year. This IPO follows Musk's merger of SpaceX with xAI, an artificial intelligence startup, which valued SpaceX at $1 trillion and xAI at $250 billion. The company aims to raise $75 billion, significantly surpassing previous record IPOs like Saudi Aramco in 2019 and Alibaba in 2014.
