In New Delhi, police have arrested 14 individuals for allegedly running a syndicate that provided mule bank accounts to facilitate cyber fraud. The group is believed to have been involved in various scams, including fake investment schemes and part-time job offers. An analysis of mule accounts in southwest Delhi revealed suspicious transactions linked to complaints filed on the national cybercrime portal. The investigation led to the identification of a mule account holder who provided his bank account to a relative, resulting in further arrests. Police conducted raids in Noida, uncovering evidence of the syndicate's operations, which included an online gaming betting racket. During the raids, authorities recovered ₹79,000 in cash, 28 mobile phones, 17 passbooks, 3 laptops, and 23 ATM cards. An FIR has been filed under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and the investigation continues.
