In a tragic incident on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway, B. Srinivas Rao, a senior lawyer and prominent High Court Advocate, was killed when a concrete mixer truck overturned and flattened his BMW car at Keesara Toll Plaza in Kanchikacharla mandal, Andhra Pradesh. The accident occurred between 4:15 PM and 4:20 PM on Saturday, shortly after Rao had participated in Bar Council elections in Amaravati. Preliminary reports indicate that the truck lost control due to brake failure while making a turn, resulting in the vehicle crushing Rao's car almost instantly. Police and toll plaza staff responded quickly, deploying heavy machinery to assist in the rescue operation. Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage to investigate any potential negligence and the circumstances surrounding the truck's loss of control. The accident caused partial disruption of traffic on the busy highway.
