On Saturday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the Museum of Heritage and Art in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, which showcases the rich cultural legacy of the Awadh region. The museum, constructed over 4,973 square metres at a cost of ₹41.43 crore (approximately $5 million USD), features a unique architectural design with a 45-metre-long cantilever structure. It includes themed galleries such as 'Mool Dhara', 'Hunar ka Safar', and 'Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb', as well as a virtual reality gaming arena to enhance visitor experience. The museum will be open from 10 am to 8 pm, with entry fees set at ₹50 for children and ₹100 for adults. Alongside the museum, Singh also inaugurated three community centres equipped with various facilities and a 'Dev Van, Nakshatra Vatika' in Vineet Khand, which features plants linked to zodiac constellations, promoting wellness and community engagement.
