India's exports are projected to achieve positive growth in the fiscal year 2025-26, according to a senior official from the commerce ministry. Despite facing global challenges, including the ongoing Ukraine war and US tariffs, India's exports are projected to maintain a positive growth trajectory in the fiscal year 2025-26. A senior official from the commerce ministry highlighted that, as of March 31, the country is expected to close the year with positive growth in exports. In February, merchandise exports slightly decreased by 0.81% year-on-year to $36.61 billion. However, cumulative exports during the period from April to February rose by 1.84%, reaching $402.93 billion. Imports also saw an increase of 8.53%, resulting in a trade deficit of $310.60 billion, compared to $261.80 billion the previous year. For the fiscal year 2024-25, total goods and services exports amounted to $825 billion, with goods accounting for $437 billion and services $388 billion.
