Late Thursday night, two unidentified men attempted to rob a businessman and his family at gunpoint in Madhu Vihar, East Delhi. The incident occurred around 10:30 PM near the Royal Banquet Hall when the victims were approached by the assailants on a motorcycle. One of the robbers brandished a firearm while the other snatched a bag containing approximately ₹1 lakh (roughly $1,200 USD) in cash. A family member attempted to chase the suspects in a car, hitting their motorcycle during the pursuit. The robbers fell off the bike but fired a shot into the air to intimidate the pursuer before fleeing, leaving behind the stolen cash and the firearm. Police have registered an FIR at the Madhu Vihar police station, charging the suspects with robbery and violations under the Arms Act. No injuries were reported during the incident, and efforts are underway to identify the perpetrators and determine if they have been involved in similar crimes previously.
