In Pune, Maharashtra, the Laxminagar police have arrested four men for allegedly stealing copper wiring from an MRI machine at the Bharat Diagnostic Centre located within Rajiv Gandhi Hospital. The suspects, identified as Dinesh Bhagwan Salve (22), Badruzzaman Jihaul Shaikh (24), Ibrahim Naresh Yadav (20), and Sachin Suresh Gavli (36), disrupted medical services by cutting and removing nearly 30 metres of copper wire, valued at ₹35,000 (approximately $420 USD). The theft was discovered on the afternoon of April 5, causing significant inconvenience to patients relying on MRI services. Police, led by senior inspector Ravindra Kadam, utilized technical surveillance and analyzed CCTV footage from the hospital and surrounding areas to track down the suspects, who were identified as habitual offenders. Following a successful operation in the Tadigutta area, three suspects were apprehended, leading to the arrest of Gavli and the recovery of the stolen copper wire.
