In Mira Road, Mumbai, six individuals have been arrested for allegedly attacking Swapnil Tapase, an office-bearer of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), using a chopper and a sickle. The incident occurred on Friday in the Ramdev Park locality, where the Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation is conducting water pipeline work. Tapase was present at the site to assess the progress of the project when he was confronted by Ravan Thakur, who allegedly threatened him. Following this, Thakur and his associates assaulted Tapase with wooden sticks, iron rods, and sharp weapons, resulting in injuries that required hospitalization. The police were alerted by Tapase's supporters and managed to control the situation.
