In Gurugram, India, two tragic accidents on the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway and Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) resulted in the deaths of two individuals within a week. The first victim, Salman Hussain, 37, from Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh, was riding his scooter when a speeding truck struck him from behind near Bilaspur Chowk on Thursday night. Despite efforts by commuters to rush him to a hospital, he was declared dead upon arrival. The truck driver fled the scene and remains unidentified. In a separate incident on Monday, Sumit Kumar, 26, from Shikohpur in Sector 78, was also hit by a speeding truck while on his motorcycle. He was taken to SGT Hospital but succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday night. Gurugram police have filed FIRs under sections 106 (causing death by negligence) and 281 (rash driving) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita at the respective police stations. Authorities are actively pursuing the drivers involved and have issued notices to vehicle owners for information regarding the incidents.
