Ajay Singhal, the Director General of Police in Haryana, India, has issued a stern warning against the glorification of gun culture and the dissemination of misleading content on social media platforms. Between January 1 and April 10, authorities removed 6,083 objectionable URLs, with the majority linked to Meta and YouTube. Singhal emphasized that content promoting violence, indecency, and misinformation that tarnishes Haryana's image will face strict legal repercussions. He noted that the state's citizens are generally peace-loving and have made significant contributions across various sectors, including agriculture and defense. The Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, supports these efforts to maintain a positive social environment. Singhal appealed to youth and content creators to engage responsibly on social media and contribute positively to society, warning that any attempts to disrupt social harmony will not be tolerated.
