This incident, which occurred in the 11th over of the game, has sparked outrage as it allegedly breaches the IPL PMOA (Player and Match Officials Area) protocol, which prohibits mobile phones in dugouts. Former IPL chairman Lalit Modi expressed his disapproval on social media, calling for immediate action from the IPL governing council. According to the rules, while electronic devices are allowed for team analysts at designated tables, they are strictly forbidden for managers in the dugout. The BCCI Anti-Corruption Managers are responsible for ensuring compliance with these protocols, and players and support staff must deposit their communication devices upon arrival at the stadium. As of now, Rajasthan Royals have not commented on the incident.
