Oil industry officials in Kerala have confirmed that there is no shortage of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), petrol, or diesel in the state. They emphasized that supplies continue to flow smoothly, with priority given to essential sectors such as hospitals, schools, and old age homes. The State Level Coordinator (SLC) for Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) assured the public that adequate stocks are available and that delivery operations are closely monitored to prevent disruptions. To ensure equitable distribution, a booking interval restriction is currently in place, and customers are encouraged to book refills through digital platforms to minimize in-person visits to distributor showrooms. Additionally, the Delivery Authentication Code (DAC) has been made mandatory for secure and verified deliveries to registered customers. Officials reiterated that there have been no reports of panic buying, and stocks at retail outlets are regularly monitored and replenished to ensure uninterrupted availability across Kerala.
