The Ministry of Ayush has introduced 104 scholarships for international students under the AYUSH Scholarship Scheme for the 2026-27 academic year. This initiative aims to promote traditional Indian systems of medicine, including Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy. Financial support is tiered based on the level of study: undergraduate students will receive a monthly stipend of ₹18,000 plus housing allowances, while postgraduate students will get ₹20,000, and PhD scholars will receive ₹22,000 monthly, along with additional allowances. Applications must be submitted online through the A2A portal of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, with strict adherence to guidelines to avoid rejection. Eligibility criteria include age limits—35 years for undergraduate and postgraduate courses and 40 years for PhD programs—and proficiency in English. Selected students must comply with medical fitness requirements and academic conduct guidelines during their studies in India.
