In Chennai, three youths have been arrested following the brutal assault of a teenage college girl during a burglary attempt near Minjur. The incident occurred on Wednesday night when the girl, a resident of Vallur, was studying on her terrace around 10 PM. A gang of five men, reportedly intoxicated, entered her home and attacked her with sharp weapons after she raised an alarm. Despite the girl's cries for help, the assailants inflicted multiple cut injuries before fleeing the scene. Local residents intervened, capturing one suspect, Dilli Babu, who has previous criminal cases against him. The girl was rushed to a hospital for treatment. Following investigations, police arrested three more suspects: Muthamizhselvan (24), Siddiq (19), and Lokesh (22), while one accomplice remains at large.
