The officer is required to pay ₹1.4 lakh (approximately $1,700 USD) to Jang Bahadur Singh, a 70-year-old resident of Aerocity, Mohali, who filed a complaint in 2020 regarding the lack of basic amenities such as electricity, water supply, sewage, and roads at his property, despite completing the registry in 2018. The Lok Adalat had previously ordered GMADA to pay ₹1.25 lakh as compensation, which accrued an additional ₹18,125 in interest due to delays. The order to seize the estate officer's assets, including electronic devices and cash, was issued on April 10, 2023. Attempts to reach GMADA officials for comments have been unsuccessful.
