Chili’s is intensifying its competition with McDonald’s by launching a new value menu that includes its Big Crispy chicken sandwiches as part of the $10.99 '3 For Me' bundle. This bundle features an entrée, fries, bottomless chips and salsa, and an unlimited fountain drink. The chain claims that its chicken filet is, on average, more than 80% larger than McDonald's McCrispy filet, highlighting concerns over 'shrinkflation' in the fast-food sector. Chili's Chief Marketing Officer George Felix stated that this new offering is a necessary shakeup in the chicken sandwich category. The lineup includes six varieties, such as classic, spicy, honey chipotle, Nashville hot, and buffalo, along with a deluxe option topped with bacon and Swiss cheese. In response, McDonald's is also targeting budget-conscious diners with a revamped McValue menu, set to launch on April 21, featuring ten items priced under $3 and a new $4 breakfast bundle.
