A massive fire broke out in a slum cluster in the Vikas Nagar area of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, on Wednesday evening, leading to the destruction of more than two dozen huts. The fire reportedly began in a vacant plot near Ring Road and spread quickly due to strong winds and the presence of highly flammable materials. Thick black smoke was visible from several kilometers away, alarming residents and prompting a rush to save belongings. Local reports indicated that multiple small LPG cylinders exploded during the incident, although this has not been officially confirmed. Fire department officials dispatched at least 10 fire tenders to the scene, facing challenges from repeated explosions while trying to control the fire. Fortunately, the fire is now largely under control, and officials have reported no loss of life or serious injuries.
