In Nashik, Maharashtra, the wife of a Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) employee has claimed that her husband is being wrongfully implicated in sexual harassment allegations stemming from a personal dispute involving another employee, Danish Shaikh. She stated that unrelated cases were improperly combined, leading to multiple arrests. Currently, seven employees have been arrested under nine FIRs that include serious charges such as sexual harassment and rape. The police have intensified their investigation, expanding the number of identified targets from nine to twelve, and are exploring possible international connections, including a preacher based in Malaysia. The National Commission for Women has acknowledged the situation and formed a fact-finding committee to conduct an independent inquiry. Operations at the TCS office in Nashik have been suspended as police continue their investigations, and all accused employees have been placed on suspension pending the outcome of the inquiry.
