Allied Blenders & Distillers Limited (ABD), a Mumbai-based spirits manufacturer, has appointed Amar Sinha as managing director, effective April 2, 2026. This decision comes as the nearly three-year tenure of the current managing director, Alok Gupta, concludes. The company emphasized that Sinha's appointment aligns with its long-term goals of value creation, business transformation, and sustained growth. With over 30 years of experience in the alcoholic beverages sector, Sinha previously served as chief operating officer at Radico Khaitan and managing director at Whyte & Mackay India. His extensive background in sales, marketing, and business transformation is expected to enhance ABD's competitive edge in India's premium spirits market. Non-executive chairman Kishore Chhabria acknowledged Gupta's contributions in strengthening governance and expanding ABD's presence, expressing confidence in Sinha's ability to build on the company's momentum. Gupta reflected on his tenure as a rewarding experience, noting that ABD is well-positioned for future growth.
