On April 6, a jawan from the Central Reserve Police Force's CoBRA battalion was injured in an IED explosion in Saranda forest, located in West Singhbhum district, Jharkhand, India. The Superintendent of Police, Amit Renu, reported that the IED was planted by the Communist Party of India (Maoist) and exploded while security personnel were conducting operations under the jurisdiction of the Chotanagra police station.
