An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) prototype from LAT Aerospace crashed into a field near Nandpur village in Etawah district, Uttar Pradesh, during a test flight on Friday evening. The incident occurred at the Saifai airstrip, where LAT Aerospace had received prior permission from the Civil Aviation Department to conduct the test. According to officials, the UAV developed a mechanical issue and lost control, leading to the crash. Fortunately, there were no injuries or damage to standing crops reported. Local residents alerted the police, who secured the wreckage with the help of a fire brigade. Additional District Magistrate Abhinav Ranjan Srivastava confirmed that the crash was due to a technical fault and emphasized that there was no threat to public safety.
