Ukrainian drones have struck the oil infrastructure at the port of Novorossiysk, Russia, which is operated by the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), a group partly owned by US corporations such as Chevron and ExxonMobil. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the attack, which occurred overnight, targeted facilities at the marine transshipment complex and was intended to destabilize the global hydrocarbon market while inflicting economic damage on CPC shareholders. Damage included an unloading berth and four tanks, although no casualties were reported. This incident is part of a broader trend of intensified Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil infrastructure, aiming to disrupt its oil exports.
