The Supreme Court of India has resolved the legal disputes surrounding the recruitment of 563 candidates for Group-1 posts by the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC). The court dismissed several petitions challenging the recruitment process, stating it would not interfere with the Telangana High Court's earlier decision to uphold the Group-1 Mains results. Allegations from petitioners included procedural irregularities such as dual hall tickets and biased evaluation against Telugu medium candidates. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy welcomed the Supreme Court's ruling, viewing it as a validation of the government's commitment to transparency in public appointments. He noted that candidates had endured years of uncertainty and expressed gratitude to the TGPSC for their efforts in ensuring a fair recruitment process. The CM emphasized that this recruitment marks a new beginning for the first batch of Group-1 recruits under the current government, aiming to engage them as partners in the development of Telangana.
