Allegations suggest the firm was awarded the contract despite not attending a mandatory pre-tender meeting and not meeting essential eligibility criteria. The irregularities were identified during a review of tender documents at the Punjab Roadways head office, prompting the police investigation. ASI Umesh Kumar, the investigating officer, stated that the focus is on verifying documents and ensuring procedural compliance.
