Khanna police have apprehended six individuals in two separate cases involving illegal firearms. In the first case, four men from Tarn Taran—Zorawar Singh (41), Jobanjit Singh (31), Akashdeep Singh (23), and Harpreet Singh (30)—were arrested after police recovered a country-made .32 bore pistol and a .30 bore pistol, along with a total of 18 live cartridges. The arrests occurred during a routine check on the national highway when a suspicious Mahindra Scorpio SUV was stopped. Zorawar Singh, previously convicted in a murder case, claimed he carried the weapon for personal safety due to an old rivalry. In a second incident, two men, Rahul Sharma (20) and Gurpreet Singh alias Guma (25), were arrested under similar circumstances, with a .32 bore pistol found on Rahul. Gurpreet, already imprisoned, had allegedly instructed Rahul to deliver the weapon. Investigations are ongoing to uncover the weapons' origins and any broader networks involved.
