Tripura police arrested one individual following an attack on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and activists in Sepahijala district on Sunday, just days before the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections. The attack, which left three people injured, is alleged to involve members of the TIPRA Motha party, according to state minister Kishore Barman. He claimed the attackers were former cadres of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) who had switched allegiance and aimed to disrupt the elections through violence.
