The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party has commended Pakistan's recent diplomatic efforts to facilitate dialogue between Iran and the United States, aimed at achieving a peaceful resolution to the ongoing Middle East crisis. PTI Central Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram highlighted that these efforts reflect the party's founder, Imran Khan's, longstanding commitment to resolving disputes through dialogue rather than conflict. Akram urged the government to capitalize on this diplomatic momentum to promote a complete ceasefire and lasting peace in the region. He condemned Israel's military actions against Lebanon, labeling them as violations of international law that could jeopardize fragile diplomatic efforts. Furthermore, he called on the government to ensure that its domestic policies align with its international diplomatic stance, particularly in relation to human rights. Akram expressed concern over the treatment of Imran Khan, who is reportedly facing restrictions in solitary confinement, and reiterated demands for his transfer to a hospital for necessary medical care. He praised Khan's decision to postpone a public gathering to avoid distractions from Pakistan's diplomatic engagements, framing it as a demonstration of national responsibility.
